Boulder, Longmont, Colorado farmers’ markets open Saturday

Patrick Dolbeare loves vegetables. Not that it’s all that unusual for a 9-year-old in Boulder to love kale and tomatoes. What is different, though, is that he’ll be the first one to sell them at the Boulder Farmers’ Market at his stall called Fresh Mouth Farm.

His mother, Eileen, says the family started the kids helping in the garden while they were preschool age. Patrick was so enamored of the cherry tomatoes that we would pick them and collect them in his room as though they were toys.

Patrick thinks that’s kind of funny now.
