CFVGA to host annual conference Feb. 21

The Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (CFVGA) will host its third annual conference on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. The full-day conference will build on last year’s event, which was attended by more than 300 people, including 20 produce buyers, 35 exhibitors and 30 speakers.CFVGA_logo

“The conference will feature networking opportunities, business contact introductions and a chance to learn what is new in our industry,” said CFVGA President Robert Sakata, Sakata Family Farms, Brighton, Colorado. “The conference committee has been hard at working planning another great event. Program details will be relayed once confirmed.”

The conference is open to anyone, but CFVGA members attend for a discounted rate. Registration is expected to open approximately Dec. 1.

A schedule of educational speakers and workshops in the areas of nutrition, food safety, labor, business development, water, and crop production will be posted as they are confirmed on the CFVGA annual conference website.

The CFVGA is comprised of more than 200 members, including growers of all sizes and types of production throughout the state, as well as representatives of allied industries. For more on the CFVGA, visit the Colorado Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association website.
