J&J Family of Farms expands leadership team

As part of ongoing efforts to expand the leadership team and keep pace with organizational growth, J&J Family of Farms as appointed Tom Travers as Chief Operating Officer.

Effective June 15, Travers assumed the COO role where he is responsible for overseeing operations, sourcing, sales and transportation and will have full P&L responsibility.

Travers comes to J&J with produce experience including his most recent role as the Vice President and General Manager of Harvest Sensations. Additionally Travers has worked as Director of Operations for Cabbage, Inc., General Manager for Eastern Propak, and Director of Operations for Southern Specialties.

J&J Family of Farms hired Richard (“Dick”) Bowman as the Director of Farming to oversee and expand the companies farming interests. In this new position, Bowman will work closely with the professional farmers on the J&J team.

Bowman’s farming background includes recent roles as owner of Harvest Time LLC, Harvest Time Market, Beefy Trees (TreeFarm), Bowman Growers and Good Fortune Farm.
