OGVG said the project’s goals are to educate U.S. retailers on best merchandising practices, develop and strengthen supply chain relationships, and ultimately increase Ontario greenhouse vegetable sales in the U.S. marketplace.

OGVG General Manager Rick Seguin notes that “OGVG is pleased to have the support of both the federal and provincial governments with this very important initiative. The demands for retail education have multiplied and OGVG is committed to the development of an educational program for the U.S. marketplace. With rapid changing supply chain demands, OGVG’s education program will offer additional product knowledge and allow OGVG to expand on established and create new relationships to increase the overall demand of Ontario greenhouse vegetables.”
