Willowood USA receives EPA registration for Mesotrione 4SC

Willowood USA announced that the EPA has approved its Willowood Mesotrione 4SC product. Willowood Mesotrione 4SC is a long lasting, broad spectrum, residual herbicide used primarily for the control of tough broadleaf weeds in corn, according to the company.

“Although our portfolio of products has grown significantly since our companies formation in 2009, we have had a gap in our lineup of corn herbicides,” Brian Heinze, Willowood USA president and CEO, said. “ As one of the leading corn herbicides in American agriculture, the launch of Willowood Mesotrione 4SC quickly fills that gap.”

With already approved state registrations, Willowood USA plans to market Willowood Mesotrione 4SC in time for the 2016 US corn market, the company said in a news release.

“We have been anticipating this registration,” Casey Daniel, Willowood USA national account manager, said. “But quite frankly, the EPA approved this registration quicker than we had expected.”

With wide flexibility in application timing and tank mix partners, Willowood Mesotrione 4SC will provide US corn growers the ability to tailor their herbicide program to their specific needs, the company said.
