Farmers Market at the Capitol

The lawn of the Michigan State Capitol building in Lansing was the setting July 27 for Farmers Market at the Capitol, hosted by the Michigan Farmers Market Association. The mission of the event is to showcase Michigan food and agricultural products in an effort to educate state decision makers on the importance of supporting farmers, ag-based businesses and farmers markets. The event attracted more than 70 vendors. Photos: Dean Peterson
