Fifth annual Ag Employer Labor Forum registration opens

The National Council of Agricultural Employers has opened  registration for its fifth Annual Ag Employer Labor Forum to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Nov. 28-30, at the beautiful Tropicana Hotel.

The forum has become a can’t miss event for agricultural employers interested in seeing their businesses thrive and prosper. Attorneys, government agencies and experts in the field of agricultural labor will be on hand to provide insight into many of the topical issues agricultural employers face. The forum is also an opportunity to network with other agricultural employers and share experiences.

In an ever more dynamic workplace environment, agricultural employers cannot afford to be left behind. The sessions are intended to be educational and provocative, promising attendees they depart the Forum with more skill and expertise than when they arrived.

This year NCAE has applied with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) to have forum sessions qualify for professional development credit.

Topics to be covered include a post midterm Government Affairs Update, a session on Social Media and Your Business, an H-2A 101 Short Course, the Anatomy of an HR Lawsuit, a session on what H-2A Workers Mean for Your Employee Benefits Programs, discussion of the Ethical Charter on Responsible Business Practices, and Labor Law Updates in addition to so much more.

Additionally, for the first time ever and on the day before the Forum officially opens, NCAE will hold its first “Advocacy Boot Camp” on Nov. 27 beginning at 8 a.m. Long known for its grassroots lobbying expertise, NCAE “drill sergeants” will take “boot camp recruits” through their paces.
