Baloian Farms adds organic offerings to California program

Baloian Farms, a year-round supplier of peppers and mixed vegetables, is introducing organic green beans, green peppers and soft squash to its California season. As their Nogales season comes to a close, Baloian Farms is beginning to shift focus to California beginning with the Coachella Valley where they farm with their partner of over 30 years, Drew Belk of Belk Farms.

“In recognition of the growing demand for organic produce, we added organic green beans and green peppers to our Coachella Valley lineup this year,” saidTim Baloian, CEO of Baloian Farms.

Baloian Farms is wrapping up harvest on organic green beans and will begin harvesting organic green peppers in the next few weeks. Baloian is growing organic zucchini and yellow squash, which will be available when harvest transitions further North into Fresno in mid May.”

Baloian Farm’s California season will continue until November and will include conventional offerings of green peppers, red peppers, mini sweets, eggplant, hard squash, soft squash and red onions.
