CDFA seeks to fill vacancies on California market committee

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has 15 vacancies on the California Certified Farmers’ Market Advisory Committee (CFMAC). The CFMAC advises the Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture on issues related to the direct marketing of agricultural products at certified farmers’ markets.

The CFMAC vacancies are for active certified producers and certified farmers’ market operators or representatives. The term of office is up to two years.  Members receive no compensation, but are entitled to payment of necessary traveling expenses in accordance with the rules of the California Department of Human Resources.

Interested individuals should complete a Prospective Member Appointment Questionnaire, available at https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/is/i_&_c/pdfs/CFM-PMAQ.pdf, and attain a letter of recommendation from industry. Nominations will be accepted until the positions are filled.
