COVID-19 is subject of FDA stakeholder briefing

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will host a stakeholder call today, March 18, at 3:45 p.m. EDT to discuss food safety and food supply questions related to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

During the call, the FDA will provide an overview of current activities, respond to stakeholders’ concerns identified in recent days and highlight important FDA resources in response to the outbreak. 

Speaking will be:

  • Frank Yiannas, Deputy Commissioner, Office of Food Policy and Response
  • Michael Rogers, Assistant Commissioner for Human and Animal Food Operations, Office of Regulatory Affairs
  • Susan Mayne, Director, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.
