Empire State Producers Expo set for Jan. 15-17

New York state fruit and vegetable growers will have access to expert educational resources spanning many different agricultural topics at the upcoming Empire State Producers Expo from Jan. 15-17.  The event will feature over 45 educational sessions led by regional and national experts from Cornell University and beyond.

Experts at the expo will educate attendees on best practices for growing and managing commodities such as snap beans and peas, cabbage, beets, carrots, berries, hops, hemp, barley, hard cider, tree fruits, sweet corn, onions, root crops and vine crops.  Growers can also learn the latest on weed management, biopesticides, precision irrigation, climate smart farming, soil health, greenhouse and high tunnel production, marketing and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

The quality and quantity of educational resources located all in one location make the event an outstanding opportunity for growers to strategically network and learn with leaders in the agricultural industry.

This year’s Empire State Producers Expo will take place at the SRC Arena in Syracuse, New York.  To register for the event, visit: https://nysvga.org/register-for-meeting-online/. A full listing of educational sessions can be viewed at http://nysvga.org/wp-content/uploads/2019-Schedule-Titles-only.pdf

The Empire State Producers Expo is sponsored by the New York State Vegetable Growers Association, Inc (NYSVGA). Founded in 1911, the association is one of the oldest agricultural organizations in New York State. NYSVGA serves commercial fresh market, storage and processing vegetable growers. It is guided by a 15-member board of directors who represent the major commodities produced throughout New York state.
