‘H-2A Agricultural Workers Visa Growers Forum’ set by Penn State

The “H-2A Agricultural Workers Visa Growers Forum: Program Updates under COVID-19” is an open forum webinar for growers and farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic and takes place on May 28, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This open forum will share updates of the H-2A workers temporary visa program during the COVID-19 crisis. The discussions will focus on issues such as possible disruptions to worker arrivals, worker health, and well-being while on the farm, etc. as we are going into this season defined by COVID-19.

The forum will begin with a presentation by Yeimi Gagliardi, Wellspan Community Health Educator, on practices and services to protect employee health. Growers will then have an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas. Carol Hansen Salazar will begin by sharing experiences with H-2A employees at Bear Mountain Orchard. Grant Meckley, Keystone Health, and Brook Duer, Penn State Law, will also be on hand to answer any grower questions.

The webinar is offered at no cost, however, registration is required to receive the webinar link. To register, visit https://extension.psu.edu/ag-workers-visa-covid-19 or call 877-345-0691.
