Name change coming for United Phosphorus

United Phosphorus, or UPI, will change its name effective Jan. 1, 2019.

Starting in the new year, the company will be known as UPL NA, and adopt a logo with the new name.

UPI’s Business Head and Vice President-North America, Vincente Gongora, discussed the name change in a letter:

“For us, the change will more accurately reflect the global brand of which our company is a part,” he wrote. “The change will also align us with our corporate parent and related subsidiaries which manufacture and market agrochemicals, industrial chemicals and specialty chemicals around the world.

“While our name will change, our company will continue to operate under its current structure. And he mailing addresses and other contact information for your points of contact will remain the same.”

For more than thirty years, United Phosphorus has been a  supplier of crop protection products and plant technologies designed for the agricultural, aquatics, turf, ornamental and pest control markets.
