Siegers hires new consultant

Siegers Seed Co. has appointed Phil Ramsey as a new seed consultant in the Southeast. Based in South Boston, Va., Ramsey will serve customers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Ramsey has vast knowledge in practical agriculture from his experiences with the Virginia Extension service, Biagro Western, Acadian Seaplants Unlimited and Jeffrey’s Seed Co., according to Siegers.

“I’m excited to be back in the vegetable seed business and ready to work with friends and growers that I have great respect for,” Ramsey said. “I’m especially excited to work for Siegers Seed Company, with its long tradition of excellent service and superior products. I’m pleased to represent Siegers and I can’t wait to get started.”
