Vittorio asparagus in high demand

Vittorio, the white asparagus variety that was bred in the north of Italy, has been in extremely high demand this spring.

According to a news release, Global Plant Genetics represents this hybrid in a range of territories in northern and central Europe and is responsible for seed sales across the region.

It reports that seeds of the variety sold out this season in record time in 2019-2020. The variety is characterized by a range of attractive features; these include very high yields, early season production and an excellent flavor profile.
