Jacobson is a 3rd generation apple grower for Pine Tree Apple Orchards’ two locations in Minnesota: White Bear Lake and Preston. He manages 150 acres of apples, with 30 different varieties. He is a member and former president of the Minnesota Apple Growers Association board of directors. In addition, he is the NEWA network state coordinator for Minnesota, director of "Meet the Grower" booth, and "Growing Apples in Minnesota" public speaking presentations at Minnesota State Fair.
