Accomplishments
Oomen graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in crop and soil science. After college, she spent 4.5 years in Washington state working in the vegetable seed industry. Since 2015, Oomen has been with Bejo Seed as a sales and product development rep, working with vegetable growers across the Midwest. She also stays actively involved with the family vegetable farm in Hart, Michigan. She currently serves on the Michigan Vegetable Council and the Michigan Onion Committee.
