Hernandez is committed to increasing the affordability and efficiency of controlled environment agriculture (greenhouses and vertical farms). Grafted Growers LLC is a start-up that uses indoor growing technology to produce high quality vegetable grafted transplants for tomato and watermelon producers. In addition, he is also an assistant professor at North Carolina State University, Horticultural Sciences, leading a research team focused on innovation in plant production using controlled environments.
