Accomplishments
Dr. Rachel Naegele is a Research Geneticist with the USDA ARS. Her research focuses on stress resistance in plants, integrating plant pathology, entomology, breeding, and population genetics. Her love of plants and how to improve their resilience to external stress has been a constant theme in her work. Over the past decade she has worked extensively with specialty crops including pepper, eggplant, and grape to develop sustainable management systems to insects and diseases.
