Valent BioSciences (VBC) and Sumitomo Chemical Company opened a new biorational manufacturing facility in Osage, Iowa, on Friday, June 27. The $146 million, 130,000-square-foot facility is designed to produce biorationals, including a broad range of sustainable products or substances used in agriculture, public health and forestry. Biorationals are the fastest growing segment of agrochemicals used in the crop production/crop protection.
