OMEX® Brings NemOMEX® Nematicide Facts

{Sponsored} NemOMEX® is a cost-effective bio-pesticide with unique qualities by comparison to conventional nematicides. NemOMEX® uses Quillaja Saponaria, which is extracted from the wood and bark of the soapbark tree containing 8.6% by weight of the active ingredient saponins of Quillaja saponaria, a dark brown liquid with a sweet, pungent odor. As an end-use product with over 18 years of data, Quillaja Saponaria extract has proven to inhibit growth of nematodes in food crops, turfgrass and ornamental plants.

The active ingredient, Quillaja saponaria (Molina), does not “Tax” the rhizosphere is listed in Class 4A inert ingredients, listed in the FIFRA 25(b) Pesticide Products list (Revised November 2016) and is exempt from the requirement of a tolerance as specified in 40 CFR 180.1001, therefore proving the use of this extract as a pesticide active ingredient does not harm humans, nontarget organisms or the environment.

NemOMEX® is 100% pasteurized, can be used on conventional and natural organic (OMRI Certified) crops, and has a guaranteed percentage of saponins and brix concentration to assure consistent quality versus other comparative, competitive product extracts.

NemOMEX® is 100% soluble at recommended usage rates and can conveniently be applied by three different application methods:

1. Ground spray (by band or broadcast type sprayer),
2. Shank injection or by
3. Chemigation:

• Low volume (ground or underground) drip, drip tape, strip tubing, micro-jet sprinklers, mini sprinklers;
• Sprinkler including center pivot, lateral move, end tow, side (wheel) roll, solid set or hand move;
• Furrow.

NemOMEX® Nematode Management has shown and currently continues to show, variability in percentage of mortality depending on the ecological system which includes plant-parasitic species and population size, plant, climate and soil environments, along with interrelationships among and between free/beneficial nematode populations, which data has shown to have increased up to 75% by comparison to traditional nematicide applications, while consistently producing equally as good or better crop production yield, size and quality, where competitive (especially conventional) products have not.
