LGMA hand washing app now available for Android

The California Leafy Green Products Handler Marketing Agreement‘s (LGMA) hand washing app is now available for download on Android phones.LGMA-logo

The Hand Washing Training App is the first mobile app for teaching farm workers how to properly wash their hands, according to LGMA.

The app is designed for use by farm supervisors to provide consistent hand washing training that can be delivered anywhere, LGMA said.

The app is available for free through the Apple Store and Google Play. The app is is also available in English and Spanish. The app also teaches proper use of gloves and hand sanitizers that some farming companies use.

The Hand Washing Training App is a finalist for United Fresh’s Innovation Awards in the “Best New Food Safety Solution” category.
