New CEO, Wetherington as executive chair of the board, set by iFoodDecisionSciences

iFoodDecisionSciences (iFoodDS) has appointed Diane Wetherington as executive chair of the board and hired Scott Mathews as its new CEO.

“These appointments, together with the recent acquisition of HarvestMark, represent milestones in the growth of iFoodDS as a leading provider of food supply chain safety, traceability and quality solutions,” Jason Resnick, vice president and general counsel for Western Growers Association who serves on the iFoodDS Board of Directors, said in a news release.

“With Diane’s extensive experience in safety solutions for the produce industry, combined with Scott’s vast knowledge of building tech-based businesses, iFoodDS is well positioned for growth and expansion,” Resnick said.

Mathews comes to iFoodDS from CDK Global, where he was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the two-billion-dollar company, which is a leading provider of demand chain solutions for the global automotive industry.  Mathew’s career also includes leadership roles in automated food quality inspection technology for the produce market as well as traceability and pathogen detection in meat processing.

“No one is better positioned than iFoodDS to support produce farmers, packers, processors, distributors and retailers to transform safety and traceability from an administrative burden into an asset that promotes continuous improvement and advancement,” Mathews says.  “I am excited to work with Diane to support the company’s on-going growth.”

“Scott’s background and understanding of food production and his experience with technology-based supply chain solutions make him a perfect fit for iFoodDS as we grow and evolve,” Wetherington says.  “His role will be key as we continue to work with the industry to improve food safety throughout the supply chain.”

iFoodDS is a leading provider of food supply chain safety, traceability and quality solutions for farmers, harvesters, shippers, packers, processors, distributors, retailers and foodservice.  iFoodDS’ cloud-based offerings provide advanced analytics and insights for safety, regulatory compliance and process improvements.
