Rob Gibson new global portfolio manager for Certis USA

Certis USA has added Rob Gibson as global portfolio manager to support its portfolio of biological solutions.

According to a May 4 news release, Gibson joins Global Vice-President of Marketing Chris Judd as the second industry veteran the biologicals leader has tapped to meet the growing demand for their bio-based crop solutions.

Gibson will focus his marketing efforts across Certis’ broad biological portfolio, ensuring that growers and supply channel partners domestically and globally have the biological solution they need available when they need it.

Most recently, Gibson served as the Associate Director of Business Development for Virginia Tech, Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, where he supported the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences faculty with opportunities to license research technologies for start-up potential. Prior to that, he worked in various capacities at Novozymes Biologicals, including as Regional Strategic Alliance Manager for BioAg Commercial where he led the Asia-Pacific region. Rob also held the roles of R&D Support Specialist, Laboratory Manager and Research Scientist at Novozymes.

“Rob’s commercial experience in the global agriculture industry as well as his in-depth technical understanding will be a great benefit to Certis, where we value science and its power to provide the solutions that growers need to continue feeding the world,” said Judd. “Certis’ grower and supply channel partners will now have another dedicated resource working diligently to provide the solutions in our current portfolio and leading the innovation that provides the solutions they will need tomorrow.”

With an industry-leading portfolio of biological insecticides, miticides, herbicides, fungicides and bactericides, Certis provides the solutions that growers need to manage IPM plans and secure their investments year after year.

“The biologicals industry is providing new avenues for commercial agriculture and Certis has led the way with their expertise for 20 years,” said Gibson. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve growers and the industry as Certis continues that leadership through the rapidly-evolving current climate.”

Gibson will be available to growers and supply channel partners at [email protected].
