Timac Agro USA has new soil conditioner, liquid fertilizers

Timac Agro USA, a biotechnology company providing 60 years of global research and development in plant extract technology, specialized granular fertilizer, and liquid and dry plant nutrition has introduced a new ganular OMRI-listed organic soil conditioner: Humiflore.

According to a news release, the new product is rooted in Timac Agro’s Calcimer, a marine source of calcium carbonate. Humiflore’s calcium is much more soluble and plant available than conventional lime and gypsum because of its highly porous honeycomb structure. It also provides great microbial activity inside the honeycomb structure, increasing nutrient release as a result.

The Pheoflore complex, a micro alga that is high in complex polysaccharides, auxins and cytokinin is granulated into the product. This improves root growth and improves nutrient uptake. Utilizing both technologies in high calcium demand crops like apples, potatoes, and fruiting vegetable is a great strategy to maximize both yield and quality. Humiflore is an organic version ofTimac Agro’s popular solution Humistart, which it will replace. It is proven to increase microbial activity, provide labile calcium, and improve breakdown of compost, manure, and/or stubble into plant-available nutrients. As a homogeneous granule, it supplies several key nutrients, such as calcium, magnesium, and sulfur.

The patented Pheoflore algae extract stimulates soil microbes and increases soil health.

National Product Manager, Alexander Duffy explained the journey from laboratory to market.

“Our previous product, Humistart, has grown quite a following over the last 20 years. Our research and development team has been working on the updated agal extract for the last 5 years and we are really excited to take the new solution to the field and demonstrate the improvement in efficacy of this soil conditioner.”

Humiflore works well on manured or composted fields. It is a good soil conditioner option for orchards, vineyards, vegetables, and fruits. It can be used alone or blended with other granular fertilizers. Humiflore is available in 50 lb. bags and 1,333 lb. super sacks.

The Pheoflore Complex A complex of seaweed extracts containing amino-purines, carbohydrates, and other bioactive compounds. These directly stimulate soil microbes to increase organic matter breakdown and nutrient bioavailability. Its key benefits include:

• Calcimer to provide labile calcium that helps improve soil structure and feeds the crop

• The ability to deliver key forms of nutrition such as calcium, magnesium, and sulfur

• The stimulation of soil microbes and increased soil health to improve nutrient bioavailability About Timac Agro Timac Agro USA provides innovative, high-quality solutions in crop nutrition.

Timac Agro USA adds two new products to its specialty liquid fertilizer family

Timac Agro USA has expanded its specialty liquid fertilizer range with two new formulations: TimaUp and TiMn. The Tima-line was officially launched with TimaCal in 2018, and the success in apples, peaches and vegetables lead our development team to extend the offering.

All products are designed with plant extract technology researched by our Center for Research and Development. The plant extract and nutrition was developed to increase nutrient use efficiency and improve yield. The formulations were designed for their compatibility, flexibility of use and efficacy on a broad range of crops.

National Product Manager Alexander Duffy explains:

“At Timac Agro we are dedicated to providing the best solution for improved nutrient uptake, reducing in yield limiting nutrients and maximizing yield. The two new products will round out our offering and allow for broader solutions into the row crop markets. The micronutrient packages were developed by looking at all our soil and tissue tests and listening to our customer needs. We look forward to continuing to build our technology into solutions designed to support our growers.”

TiMn is a proprietary liquid Nitrogen, Sulfur and Manganese formulation, designed from an acidified, nonvolatile form of urea-sulfate-nitrogen and the patented Adur Complex.

Mn is critical to the photosynthetic pathway and can be tied up by glyphosate. The Adur Complex is a precision plant extract that reduces plant stress and aides in plant establishment. TimaUp is designed to “Team-Up” with any tank mix and was formulated for combability, flexibility and use across many crops.

It provides Zn, B, Mn, S, Cu, Mo and the patented IPA plant extract to help ensure increased nutrient use efficiency and maximize yield potential. TimaCal, the original Tima-line product, is formulated with the Adur Complex, which is comprised of precision plant extracts and Calcium. This product aids the production of fruits and vegetables and provides a solution for Calcium deficiencies. The TimaCal formulation contains 10.7% Calcium.

Tima-line Rebrand With these additions to the Tima family, Timac Agro has decided to give this product line a fresh look. The Tima-line rebrand ties TimaCal, TiMn, and TimaUp together with the same visual identity.

The packaging options have also been enhanced to serve customers’ needs. TimaCal, TiMn, and TimaUp are available in 2.5-gallon jugs or 250-gallon totes.

Timac Agro products are unique in that virtually all contain patented plant and seaweed extract formulas. Their patented formulas are derived from nearly 60 years of global research and development in plant extract technology. By enriching selected extracts with macro and micronutrients, Timac Agro creates formulations that meet the ever-changing needs of crops.

Better yield and quality benefit growers with improved emergence, vegetative growth, and reproductive performance.

A subsidiary of the Roullier Group, the company is headquartered outside Reading, Pennsylvania, with manufacturing facilities in New York, Michigan, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
