The U.S. Department of Agriculture is conducting the 2022 Census of Agriculture.
Every five years, the USDA seeks information from producers in all 50 states. The department issued survey codes to all known agriculture producers across the 50 states in late November. If you missed receiving the invitation, or prefer paper, those questionnaires will follow in December, according to the National Agriculture Statistics Service
The site, agcounts.usda.gov, helps the USDA get comprehensive and impartial agriculture data for every state, according to a USDA news release.
Through the surveys, producers can tell their story and help generate opportunities, according to the USDA.
The USDA will be sending producers paper “ballots” in December, but online offers time-saving feature for producers. All are due by Feb. 6, according to NASS.
