About 40 Under Forty

The annual Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under Forty awards program celebrates individuals who are the next generation of leaders. Award recipients represent the best in the industry.

The recipients were selected because they are truly making positive marks in the fruit and vegetable industry.

Nominations now open for 2026 Class

Honor the next generation of leaders through the Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under Forty Awards by submitting an individual making a mark in the industry. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 class.

In its 10th year, the Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under Forty Awards will honor 40 outstanding individuals making their marks in the industry. Nominations are encouraged from all segments of the industry: men and women who are demonstrating involvement, innovation and commitment.

The 40 young professionals chosen will represent the best in the industry.

The awards are free to enter and self-nominations are also accepted.

Criteria

  • Under the age of 40 (as of June 5, 2026)
  • Currently employed within the fruit + vegetable industry
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities
  • Strives to propel the industry forward through involvement and innovation

  • Crop Consultants/advisors
  • Manufacturers/suppliers
  • Processors
  • Trade Show management
  • Association leaders
  • Government agencies
