Brighter Bites joins effort to end hunger

A webinar will examine innovative partnerships and new approaches to end hunger and advance healthy communities.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation webinar is from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern March 6.

Shreela Sharma, co-founder of Brighter Bites, which supplies students and their families with fresh produce and educational materials, will join representatives of the White House Domestic Policy Council, Fresh Food Coalition, Vertical Harvest Farms and UTHealth Houston School of Public Health during the webinar.

The CDC Foundation has been collaborating with the White House to engage partners in a comprehensive approach to advance more than $8 billion in public-private commitments to meet the nation’s challenges of hunger, nutrition, and health.

The White House recently announced the organizations and companies who committed to the challenge to end hunger and build healthy communities.
