California carrot growers add new fungicide

Arysta LifeScience North America recently announced a label addition for PH-D Fungicide: chemigation on carrots in California.

Carrots are added to the growing number of food crops on the PH-D label, including almonds, cucurbit vegetables, fruiting vegetables, grapes, pistachios, pome fruits, potatoes and strawberries.

PH-D is a broad-spectrum fungicide that controls a wide range of fungi, including alternaria, early blight, botrytis and powdery mildew.

“California growers will welcome the use of PH-D through chemigation for carrots,” said Layne Wade, Senior Technical Service Manager, Arysta LifeScience. “With research and trials to back up the science, PH-D continues to show positive results as a broad-spectrum fungicide and a strong resistance management tool.”
