Ecorobotix launches ARA595 precision sprayer for Southwestern vegetable growers
The AI-powered system is designed for irrigated vegetable production and targeted crop protection applications in California and Arizona.
Swiss ag tech outfit Ecorobotix has announced the U.S. launch of its ARA595 ultra-high precision (UHP) sprayer, an implement setup for 80-inch irrigation beds with side sprinklers commonly used by field vegetable growers in California and Arizona.
According to an Ecorobotix news release, the ARA595 will be manufactured in Kansas. First shipments are expected to begin by the end of July.
The sprayer uses the company’s AI plant recognition technology to target individual plants, applying crop protection products only where needed. Ecorobotix says the system can reduce crop protection product use by as much as 95%, depending on crop, weed pressure and field conditions.

Designed for operations using ground-level irrigation, the ARA595 includes pipe guides that help the machine navigate around sprinkler infrastructure.
The sprayer has a 19.7-foot working width and can operate at speeds of up to 4.5 mph, allowing it to cover up to 10 acres per hour, according to the company. It features a 2.4 x 2.4-inch spot-spray capability that enables targeted herbicide applications while helping avoid contact with crops.
Ecorobotix said the ARA595 supports more than 30 crop-specific algorithms and includes capabilities such as automated lettuce thinning and adjustable safety zones for precision applications.
