Global Plant Genetics, Fox Seeds sign seed distribution agreement

Fox Seeds, a producer and distributor of asparagus varieties developed by the breeding program at the University of Guelph in Canada, and UK-based Global Plant Genetics have signed a deal for the exclusive European distribution rights for their varieties.

The University of Guelph asparagus breeding program is world renowned for its high yielding and excellent quality varieties. Guelph Millennium has been the most popular hybrid to date but the program is also launching three new cultivars:

  • Guelph Eclipse
  • Guelph Evolution
  • Guelph Equinox

Seed production of these varieties is being expanded.
