Stop BMSB releases video series on BMSB research updates

Stop BMSB, a university-led research project, has released a new video series on the integrated pest management of brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB).

The videos provide research updates on the monitoring, trapping, management, and biological control of BMSB. The video topics are:

  • Pyramid Traps – how to use pyramid traps and methods on keeping BMSB trapped
  • Monitoring and Trapping – luring methods for trapping and monitoring BMSB
  • Management – how to manage BMSB for specialty crops throughout the season
  • Biological Control – how to use native natural enemies to manage BMSB

Funded by the USDA’s Specialty Crop Research Initiative, the project aims to develop an effective defense against BMSB for specialty crop growers.

The project’s website also features a 10-part video series on how to identify and track BMSB.
