“Our tomatillo salsa kit is perfect for consumers who want to bring fresh, bold flavors to their kitchens,” Tony Terry, Bailey Farms’ director of sales, said in the release. “It simplifies the process of making salsa at home while delivering the authentic taste people crave.”
In addition to the Tomatillo Salsa Kit, Bailey Farms will also spotlight their proprietary BellaFina peppers, known for their versatility and perfect single serving size. The sweet and crunchy peppers are ideal for snacking, cooking, and recipe inspiration.
When he was 21, Randy Bailey, owner and president, decided to grow hot peppers after gaining a taste for the flavors of spicy Mexican food. In 1989, he and his father, Thomas, grew only a few acres their first year with production limited to the summer. In the next several years, business grew slowly. In the late 1990s, the Baileys worked with other growers to help them supply peppers throughout the year.
Bailey Farms’ family-run farms grow peppers in North Carolina and Florida, offering a wide variety of chili, BellaFina, known for their sweet taste, and mini-sweet peppers. Bailey Farms’ pepper lineup includes Anaheims, Cherry Hots, cubanelles, Finger Hots, habañeros, Hungarian waxes, jalapeños, Long Hot cayennes, poblanos, Red Fresnos, serranos and Shishito chilis.
