Where it’s made: Oxbo opens harvester factory in Western New York

Oxbo is opening a new manufacturing facility in Bergen focused on designing and building equipment for specialty crop farmers.

Oxbo, a manufacturer of a specialty crop harvesting equipment, is opening a new 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bergen, New York, according to a news release. Bergen is located between Buffalo and Rochester.

The manufacturer states building at the site “reflects the company’s ongoing investment in North America and its focus on equipment for specialty crop farmers.”

The Bergen facility (image above) is dedicated to the design and manufacture of harvesters for crops like seed corn, sweet corn, green beans and peas. It hosts fabrication, welding, finishing and assembly operations, along with space for testing and training. An outdoor test track (upper right in image) will feature hands-on evaluation of machines by customers, dealers and employees.

The Bergen location is expected to employ approximately 250 people across manufacturing, engineering, training and administrative roles.
