Rain Bird receives World Ag Expo award

Rain Bird’s S5 Pressure Compensating Heavywall Dripline has received a World Ag Expo Top-10 Product Award, the second year in a row the irrigation solutions company has earned that designation.

The recognition at World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, follows innovation awards for the product from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers and the Irrigation Association.

The dripline features Smart Spacing, which allows growers to specify repeating patterns of variable spacing between emitters, helping conserve water by delivering it directly where it is needed. Recent installations have shown S5 is saving growers more than 25% in irrigation costs, according to a news release.

Rain Bird is celebrating 90 years of service to the industry. Its booth space at World Ag Expo features a live orchard to demonstrate the S5 Pressure Compensating Heavywall Dripline. The company is also discussing its newest product, the next generation LFX Sprinkler. Designed to outperform and outlast competition, the next generation LFX Sprinkler features a newly enhanced and sealed brake mechanism to ensure controlled rotation and protect the sprinkler from debris, grit and insect intrusion.
