Virtual event kicks off AgTech effort to provide new food safety tools

Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology in conjunction with The Center for Produce Safety and the Yuma Center of Excellence for Desert Agriculture will launch the event: AgTechx Food Safety – A Year of Food Safety Acceleration for Rapid Diagnostics and Prevention Technologies.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear Rodrigo Nieto Gomez speak about the accelerating innovation and changing policy dynamics, followed by three panels that discuss how innovation should consider regulation in the product development cycle, the role of research, and what Western Growers Science, Technology & Innovation (WGCIT) leadership believes to be important to its members.

During the event, companies will learn about the opportunity to work with the WGCIT during the coming year on accelerating prevention and rapid diagnostic solutions. Details will be provided during the session.
