WSU Extension Onion Field Day scheduled

Washington State University Extension has scheduled an onion field event.

The 2024 WSU Extension Onion Field Day is set for Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hartley Farms in the Horse Heaven Hills.

The event will be at the site of the 2024 WSU Onion Cultivar Trial, which features 47 onion cultivars and lines from six seed companies.

Field day presentations will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a trial overview, followed by updates from onion researchers. Attendees can examine the trial entries in the field.

A BBQ lunch, sponsored by industry leaders, will be served at noon.

The event is open to the public, and no pre-registration is required.
