GLEXPO bus tour: Fruit Ridge tour fostered farm market ideas, networking

The Great Lakes EXPO Farm Market Bus Tour visited a half dozen Grand Rapids, Michigan, area locations featuring a variety of attractions, crops and products. 

On Dec. 9, 146 participants packed three buses and visited these Fruit Ridge farm market and vineyard operations north of Grand Rapids: 

• Ed Dunneback & Girls Farm Market
• Millie’s Farm Market
• New City Neighbors
• Schwallier’s Country Basket
• Stoney Ridge Vineyards & Winery

Many bus tour attendees operate farm markets, and the yearly event provided an opportunity to share ideas. 

The bus tour was sponsored by Vegetable Growers News’ parent company, Great American Media Services; Michigan State University Extension and the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable & Farm Market EXPO.
