California Carrot Variety Trial Field Day is Dec. 14

The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources department is holing a Carrot Variety Trial Field Day on Dec. 14.

The event will be held  from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Pacific in Shafter, California at the Grimmway Farms field site. The field day will be an opportunity to see and evaluate 81 different types and varieties of colored, cut and peel, and cello carrots.

The trial is located on a field site (31217 E Lerdo Hwy.) in Shafter. You may call Jaspreet Sidhu, farm advisor for vegetable crops, at 661-304-8870 with any questions or directions to the trial.

“We would like to thank Grimmway Farms and the California Fresh Carrot Advisory Board for their generous support of this trial,” Sidhu said in a news release.
