PennRose Farms expands offerings to retail, foodservice

PennRose Farms is expanding its geographic footprint with the addition of Moore Farms in Manor, Georgia, and Patterson Farm in China Grove, North Carolina, to its family of growers. These grower partnerships, with produce exclusively to be sold through PennRose Farms, will greatly enhance the company’s position as an emerging leader in the mixed vegetable space.

“Our spring, summer and fall vegetable lineups bring substantially greater value for our customers with the addition of these growers who share our vision of quality, safety, sustainability and service. As a grower-owned company, we will continue investing in innovative and long-term supply chains,” said Jason Wyatt, director of sales and business development at PennRose Farms. 

Moore Farms excels as a quality-driven and efficient producer of bell pepper, cucumber, summer squash, specialty pepper, cabbage and eggplant. “Our partnership recognizes the hard work, dedication, heart and character of Tim and Barbara Moore and their entire family. We are excited to work alongside them and match their efforts forward in the supply chain,” said Chuck Ciruli, managing partner of PennRose Farms.

Shipments are expected to begin in early April.”

Patterson Farm begins its season in June with shipments of bell pepper, specialty pepper and cucumber continuing through October.
