Trio of final FSMA rules sent for publication in Federal Register

FDA has submitted the final produce safety, foreign supplier verification and third party accreditation rules of the Food Safety Modernization Act to the Federal Register for publication, as required by the court. An additional rule, one covering preventive controls, was submitted Aug. 31.

Documents submitted to the Federal Register can publish several days after they are submitted, with larger documents taking longer to process and display. The FDA said it is committed to sharing information about the final rules and how facilities can comply as soon as we are able to do so.

For details on the final rules as they are published, visit the agency’s FSMA page.
