Unlock spray drone best practices: Attend Great Lakes Expo’s Drones in Specialty Crops Symposium

Great Lakes Expo is offering a spray drone educational session on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 9 am to 4 p.m. in Ballroom D at Devos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The 2025 Drones in Specialty Crops Symposium costs $60 and features sessions led by experienced drone application experts. The full-day symposium is tailored for custom applicators and specialty crop growers interested in using spray drones to apply pesticides.

Michigan and Ohio pesticide recertification credits are available for licensed applicators, and all attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how to integrate spray drone technology into their on-farm and greenhouse spray programs.

Among the nine sessions offered, Michigan State University Extension Viticulture Specialist Mike Reinke will share findings from a two-year research project on deploying spray drones in Great Lakes region vineyards. Todd Cardwell, Winfield United Senior Agronomist, will present actionable information on best practices for using adjuvants in spray drones. Plus, Ag-Bee founder Briana Layfield will share insights gleaned from using spray drones in California vegetable, vineyard and orchard operations.

Attendees will have ample opportunity to ask questions throughout the program, and an open speaker panel discussion will close out the session.

You can check out the full symposium agenda and register for the Drone Spraying in Specialty Crops Symposium online . Be sure to add the symposium onto your full show registration when you sign up for Great Lakes Expo.
