Jeff Wheeler joins Plant Response Inc. to boost commerical efforts

Plant Response has expanded its executive team with the addition of Jeff Wheeler as chief commercial officer.

Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Business Administration-Marketing degree from Delta State University and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the Olin Business School at Washington University.

With over 20 years in the ag industry, Wheeler’s experience spans across the value chain from retail/distribution to a Fortune 200 multi-national company. Most recently, he served as head of sales at Arysta LifeScience (acquired by UPL in early 2019), a global agricultural company specializing in the marketing and distribution of innovative crop protection and life science brands. Wheeler will operate out of the Plant Response U.S. headquarters in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina.

Wheeler said it is an exciting time to join Plant Response, adding, “They are in the midst of a pivotal expansion, and I look forward to helping the company steer through its strategic evolution to bring advanced, science-based products to the market.”

Plant Response offers multiple technology platforms such as live microbes, extracts and biosimilar molecules to solve growers’ targeted issues and bring the science of nature to growers across the globe. The company recently acquired applied microbial science company Pathway BioLogic to expand its portfolio of robust biological products offered to the agricultural industry.

In addition to its RTP headquarters, Plant Response’s multi-site operations include Plant City, Florida, Hayward, California, and Madrid, Spain.
