Sign up for safety awards

DuPont Crop Protection has partnered with AgSafe to present the first All Ways Safe Agricultural Safety Awards, which recognize companies and individuals who demonstrate a dedication to protecting agricultural workers in California.

“The awards will honor those who have excelled in workplace safety and continue to run profitable, successful businesses,” said Amy Wolfe, president and CEO, AgSafe. “The awards are an opportunity for AgSafe to highlight the work of this industry while continuing to advocate for farm worker safety.”

During the Feb. 21-24 AgSafe Conference in Monterey, Calif., one small company, with 50 or fewer employees, and one large company, with 51 or more employees, will be selected for the award, as will one safety professional and one operations or production supervisor.

To apply, companies must complete the Self-Audit application. Individuals must be nominated by another party. Award and nomination applications can be found online at www.agsafe.org. Applications for the All Ways Safe Agricultural Safety Awards must be received no later than Jan. 25. Completed applications may be submitted electronically or mailed to AgSafe, 1300 10th Street, Suite B, Modesto, CA 95354.
