Assistant Professor and Viticulture Extension Specialist

Hickey has presented at state, regional, national and international conferences and has coordinated numerous Extension workshops. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and Extension publications. Hickey’s research currently focuses on pruning, trellising, fruit-zone management and spring frost mitigation. He works with members of the southeastern U.S. grape and wine industry to solve vineyard management issues through his Extension and research appointment.
