Webinar offered for ‘Surviving Wage & Hour Investigations or OFLC Desk Audits’

An educational webinar, “Tips for Surviving Wage & Hour Investigations or OFLC Desk Audits,” will be offered by the National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE).

The webinar will be held 3 p.m. EST (noon PST) Tuesday, August 20. It will focus on areas of concern for both users and non-users of the H-2A work visa program, according to a press release from NCAE.

Survey: Grower search for labor intensifies

“Responding to audits by the Wage and Hour Division or Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) can be intimidating, we want employers to feel prepared if that occurs,” said Nigel Bocanegra, NCAE manager of association services.

The webinar will be hosted by Mike Saqui, president & CEO with the Saqui Law Group; Rebecca Hause-Schultz, Associate Attorney with the Saqui Law Group; and Chris Schulte, associate with CJ Lake.

The experienced speakers will discuss tips for preparing for and responding to Wage and Hour Investigations and OFLC Desk Audits. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask the panel questions about these processes.

Registration will be limited to the first 100 participants, who will be eligible to receive one Professional Development Credit from the Society for Human Resource Management upon completion of the course.

Bocanegra said the previous webinar, H-2A 101, was very popular, and those wishing to attend the current webinar should register as soon as possible.
