Climate resilient fresh produce industry webinar scheduled by IFPA

The International Fresh Produce Association is hosting a webinar to address how climate change may affect the fresh produce industry.

The Newark, Delaware, based IFPA’s virtual town hall is scheduled for Aug. 2 at 12 p.m. Eastern time.

“IFPA members grow the fresh fruit and vegetables that feed our rising global population and are doing so in the face of mounting climate challenges,” IFPA officials said in a news release. “To support you, IFPA partnered with Kantar to provide research and information that covers the scale and scope of climate change directly affecting the produce industry, emerging regulatory demands, and consumer behaviors and expectations that shape the market.”

During the virtual meeting, IFPA plans to map and overlay the contributing factors to “future proofing our industry throughout the value chain and showcase a prioritization matrix to help you make decisions to navigate this global challenge,” according to the release.
