Leader of 175-acre high-automation greenhouse to speak at event

A leader of NatureFresh Farms‘ 175-acre, high-tech greenhouse will share information on the company’s work at the Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum Aug. 17.

The forum will take place 8 – 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation (AIF) in Bowling Green, Ohio. The event is being hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT).

NatureFresh Farms greenhouse grower Renato Zardo will speak about growing practices, lowering the carbon footprint, produce growth during winter months and reaching consumers in quality time.

In 2015, NatureFresh Farms broke ground on the massive greenhouse facility in Delta, Ohio.

The company markets itself as using emerging science and European models in its highly-automated greenhouse to become of the largest greenhouse bell pepper growers in North America.

At the event, breakfast and informal networking will start at 8 a.m., with a program to follow. The cost – which includes breakfast and the networking opportunity — is just $10 per person for those who register in advance or $12 per person at the door by cash or check. Walk-ins are welcome, but guests are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance by visiting ciftinnovation.org.

The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends, and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.

The AIF promotes the development, advancement, and appreciation of sustainable agricultural systems in northwest Ohio.

CIFT develops and provides technical innovations and solutions for the food processing, agribusiness and agricultural sectors of the economy.
