Seedway receives GAP/GHP certifications at three seed locations

Seedway has received USDA GAP/GHP certification at its vegetable seed locations in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Pelham, Georgia, and Lakeland, Florida. This certification encompasses all Seedway vegetable seed handling facilities, making it one of the few seed suppliers with this designation, according to Seedway.

The USDA Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Good Handling Practices (GHP) program is intended to assess a participant’s efforts to minimize the risk of contamination of fresh vegetables, nuts and miscellaneous commodities by microbial pathogens based on FDA's Guide to Minimize Microbial Food Safety Hazards for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, and generally recognized good agricultural practices, according to Seedway.

Headquartered in Hall, New York, Seedway operates nine locations in five states from Vermont to Florida.
