40 Under 40, Class of 2019

Nate Wilson

Williams Orchards

Wilson’s passion for agriculture began early, helping his grandfather raise cattle and vegetables in the Traverse City, Michigan, area. At 14, he was introduced to the cherry business with a job at a neighbor’s farm. He has worked in the agriculture supply business, but his real love is being on the farm. Wilson works for Williams Orchards in Leelanau County, where they raise several hundred acres of cherries, apples and peaches. His responsibilities include pest management, agronomics and marketing. Wilson resides in Leelanau County with his wife, Hannah.
